North Star Cycling has a simple goal, to get melanated people on bicycles in order to build a beloved community and be the radical, justice-focused conscience of cycling. We do this by knocking down the barriers to cycling, building community, and uplifting BIPOC riders to support their physical and mental health. In just 7 months we have built a BIPOC cycling community from 4 riders to over 80 fully-engaged riders that are committed to building the radical form of cycling that the industry has yet to see.
We are doing it different because we are different. It is now time for the cycling industry to reckon with its racism that has kept so many of us out. Join us and see why North Star Cycling is the community we all deserve.
Sunday Service Rides
Come ride with the NorthStar members as they explore the city.
Sunday rides are nice and casual. All levels invited,
We even have limited bikes available for rent.
Met up at Clubhouse at 10:30 am Roll out 11:00 AM
This is a no-drop ride - Easy pace
Wednesday
FAST RIDES
Starting from the clubhouse - quick hot lap around Mercer Island.
Met up at 5:00 PM roll out at 5:30 PM
This is a semi drop ride. Roll out to Mercer island together,
Once on the island it a race to the park, where we all met up together and ride
back to the clubhouse
Youth Rides
Inspiring the youth is what we do.
Do you have kids that want to get into cycling? we have a handful of youth that are ready to ride. Bring them out on the Sunday service rides!
